## Summary

The National Army Museum is inviting tenders for the procurement of the supply and installation of Electric Vehicle Charge Points. The procurement process falls under the "Chargers" category with an estimated contract value of £13,000. The tender deadline is October 31, 2022, and the contract period is scheduled to start on February 6, 2023, and end on February 27, 2023. This opportunity aims to support the NAM's sustainability goals by reducing carbon footprint and fostering the adoption of electric vehicles among staff and visitors in Chelsea and Stevenage.

This tender provides an opportunity for businesses specialising in electrical equipment, electric vehicles, and installation services to compete. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) particularly stand to benefit from this tender. The National Army Museum, based in London, is the buying organisation leading this procurement process using an open procedure. Businesses interested in sustainability and clean energy solutions would be well-suited to engage in this tender to contribute to environmental goals in the East of England and London regions.

## Notice

The NAM, a Body incorporated by Royal Charter (1960), is the British Army's own Museum. It is the only museum in the United Kingdom to tell the Story of Our Army as a whole from the New Model Army to today's military operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. It commemorates the contribution of soldiers, male and female, who have served in Our Army. By using examples from the past, the NAM inspires the present generation of soldiers to understand that they are the inheritors of a rich tradition of bravery, service and professionalism. The National Army Museum has identified the opportunity to install smart electric vehicle (EV) charging points across its sites in Chelsea and Stevenage. NAM looks to appoint a suitable contractor to supply and install electric vehicle charging points across NAM sites and an appropriate back-office charge point management system. The installation will help support the NAM's overall goal to invest in sustainable alternatives, reduce its own carbon footprint, and will contribute to the reduction of toxic air pollution. NAM hopes the installation will encourage staff and visitors to make the switch to EV reducing their individual contribution to global greenhouse gas emissions. For the project, the NAM will utilise the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) Workplace Charging Scheme grants to help fund the project.
