The service will consist of: Six (6) beds on a block purchase arrangement for individuals nominated by the Council for such periods as agreed between the Council and the Provider in order to provide scheduled respite for Carers and/or the Residents themselves; One (1) emergency bed which the Provider will retain for emergency admissions. The service must be delivered from a care home, accessible by car or public transport, with a journey time no greater than 10 minutes from the centre of Hartlepool. For the purposes of this tender, the centre of Hartlepool has been determined to be post code area TS24 8AY. The care home must be registered with the Care Quality Commission for the provision of respite support to people with learning disabilities and rated "Good" or "Outstanding". All seven (7) beds must be available for occupation on 1st April 2022 on commencement of the contract.
