## Summary

The Improvement and Development Agency for Local Government has initiated a procurement process for the project titled "Cyber Security Guides for Officers and Councillors in Local Government." This contract falls under the services category, specifically within the computer training services industry. The project is based in London, United Kingdom, and is currently in the Planning stage, with key dates indicating that the tender period ended on 10 December 2021 and the contract period is set to run from 10 January 2022 to 11 July 2022. The procurement method employed for this process is an open procedure, with a contract value estimated at £500,000 and a minimum value of £100,000.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in developing cyber security training materials, consultancy services, or educational resources. Suppliers capable of providing computer-user familiarisation, project management consultancy, or staff training services would be well-positioned to compete for this project. The agency's intention to revise its delivery model and potentially issue a new Invitation to Tender in the future further enhances the opportunity for interested businesses to engage and submit competitive bids.

## Notice

NOTE: This notice was updated on 27 January 2022 for the following reason: Unfortunately, we are withdrawing this tender. While we reserve the right to do so within the tender documents we appreciate this will be disappointing for suppliers who have submitted bids. The situation for the LGA cyber security programme has changed substantially from when we first decided to put out a tender for this contract not least in relation to our funding streams. As a result of this we will be changing our delivery model for this project to deliver a pilot that will involve the delivery of a smaller number of guides with the potential to increase the number of guides. We therefore intend to issue a new Invitation to Tender (ITT) as open tenders on contracts finder in the near future. We would encourage all suppliers to bid for this work. We understand that this will be of disappointment to suppliers but we believe it is the best way to ensure value for money and high quality outputs that will be of most benefit to the sector. We would like to thank you for your tenders and apologise for any inconvenience caused.(The LGA wishes to commission a supplier to develop a minimum of 30 guides to help key personnel within local government to build capabilities within cyber security. This must include an overview of cyber risks pertinent to key roles and officers' and members' responsibilities in understanding a) good cyber principles; b) how to manage cyber security risks; c) how they can help to reduce the impact of a cyber incident on business operations.) Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
