## Summary

The British Film Institute (BFI) is inviting tenders for security services for their prestigious events, specifically the security arrangements for the BFI London Film Festival and other cultural events at BFI Southbank in London. This procurement process, classified under the CPV code for security services (79710000), is in the award stage, following an open procurement method. The contract period commenced on 1st August 2019 and will extend until 31st July 2020, with the awarded contract valued at £150,000. The tender period closed on 2nd July 2019, and the announcement of the awarded contract was published on 1st October 2019.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in security services, particularly those specialising in event security management, crowd control, and VIP protection. Companies with experience in delivering security for high-profile events, such as film festivals and corporate gatherings, would be well-suited to compete for future contracts like this. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) particularly have a chance to grow by working with a notable organisation like the BFI, enhancing their portfolios through collaboration on significant cultural and cinematic events.
