## Summary

The London Borough of Camden Council is currently in the planning stage for a re-tender of the Mental Health Employment Support Service, which aims to support Camden residents experiencing severe mental health issues in finding and maintaining competitive employment. The engagement period ends on 8th October 2021, with a market engagement notice published on 22nd September 2021. This procurement falls under the category of health and social services, specifically focusing on adult education services and social work without accommodation, with estimated annual funding of £500,000 for the service. The anticipated start date for the contract is around 1st April 2022 for an initial five-year term, with potential extensions available.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for organisations specialising in mental health support, vocational training, and employment services, particularly those employing the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be well-positioned to compete for this contract, given its focus on delivering specialised support integrated with health services. Interested businesses should prepare to engage with the provided market testing questionnaire and submit responses by the specified deadline to contribute to the shaping of this service.
