## Summary

The procurement process involves the CTM Portal for the NDA Shared Services Alliance inviting bids for the "Radioactive Metallic Waste Treatment Services Framework." This framework is aimed at delivering various services related to radioactive waste treatment, including waste characterisation, packaging, transport, and storage. The procurement is classified under the "services" category and will be conducted through an open procedure. The tender period concludes on 9th December 2019, with the resulting contract expected to commence on 4th May 2020 and extend for four years until 3rd May 2024. The geographical scope for delivery includes the United Kingdom and other territories.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in waste management and treatment services, particularly for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) with relevant expertise. Companies specialising in waste characterisation, packaging, and transport would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. Additionally, public sector bodies and organisations engaged in nuclear decommissioning or environmental services might find potential collaboration opportunities within the framework agreement, which aims to establish partnerships with up to eight suppliers.
