## Summary

The public procurement process initiated by SE Shared Services seeks to award a contract for a Water Cycle Study (WCS) to support the Runnymede 2035 Local Plan. The tender, titled "RMBC-GP-Water Cycle Study - AWARD", is classified under the CPV code for consulting services related to water-supply and waste-water, with an overall contract value of £12,000 and a minimum value of £4,800. The procurement method utilised is an open procedure, and the contract period begins on 11th August 2017 and extends to 31st December 2018. The tender submission deadline was 14th July 2017, and the award was published on 19th July 2017.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for consulting firms specialised in environmental and water-related services to enhance their business prospects. Companies with experience in conducting thorough environmental assessments and infrastructure planning would be particularly well-suited to compete in this process. As the study aims to address environmental constraints while supporting local development strategies, firms with a strong track record in compliance with Environmental Agency guidelines will likely find this contract aligns with their expertise, facilitating potential growth and collaboration in regional planning initiatives.

## Notice

The Council is looking to secure the services of a consultant to complete a robust Water Cycle Study (WCS) to support the development of the Runnymede 2035 Local Plan. The WCS must comply with the Environment Agency's current guidance on producing water cycle studies, and must be compliant with the NPPF and PPG. As a minimum, as part of the commission, a phase 1 scoping study will need to be completed. This scoping study will help ensure that the proposed Local Plan growth strategy and allocations occur within environmental constraints, the appropriate infrastructure is provided in a timely manner, and the allocations are deliverable. This will help ensure that the assessment is targeted to the environmental and infrastructure constraints. Further phases of work may also be required.
