In terms of the clinical and offensive waste services that are sought, for the authority administrative area that covers Cambridgeshire County Council, the authority currently has a clinical waste collection, treatment and disposal contract the district authorities include: Cambridge City Council (City), Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC), Fenland District Council (FDC), South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC), East Cambridgeshire District Council (ECDC). The procurement covers two lots. There will be only one service provider per Lot. Lot 1 Household clinical and where required offensive waste collections, treatment and disposal for the district authority areas (City, ECDC, FDC, HDC and SCDC). Lot 2 The provision of a transfer or treatment facility within Cambridgeshire for the acceptance of clinical and where required offensive waste from all 5 Cambridgeshire authorities (Cambridge City, ECDC, FDC, HDC and SCDC). This lot 2 will ONLY be utilised if lot 1 is NOT awarded.
