## Summary

The Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council has awarded a contract for "Drink Supplies for Summer Hospitality Provision at Bournemouth Beach," focusing on enhancing the hospitality offerings during the summer season. This procurement falls within the services category, specifically related to wines, with a total contract value of £30,000. The contract period commences on July 1, 2022, and concludes on September 30, 2022. This procurement process is complete, and the opportunity was initiated as a tender, with the award notice published on July 21, 2022. The service location is in Bournemouth, situated in the South West of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in beverage supply, particularly those equipped to handle high-demand, short-term contracts in the hospitality sector. Companies that can provide quality drinks and have experience in catering for events or festivals will be ideally suited to compete for similar contracts in the future. The extension of the hospitality model to a five-week summer restaurant operation enhances the potential for increased business engagement in this vibrant market, benefiting those who can offer innovative solutions to meet the heightened demand.

## Notice

The Council has been delivering an Air Festival Hospitality offering since 2018. The purpose of the Air Festival Hospitality is to bring an income stream into the Air Festival and offer a high end hospitality for businesses directly on the flightline further raising the awareness of the event to boost the local economy and to add financially to the event and reputation. The Air Festival Hospitality consists of a covered marquee with a kitchen and decking area in a prime location on the seafront where guests book a ticket for the day to include, food, some drink and entertainment. There is also some private charity and corporate evening functions and a business engagement breakfast meeting. For 2022 the Council is seeking to expand the pop-up catering offer on the beaches and help create a more vibrant environment. As part of this plan there is an opportunity to extend the use of the Air Festival hospitality site into a summer restaurant for a 5-week period. The Air Festival model has worked in previous years for the 4-day event and therefore we will extend the usage to 5 weeks which maximises the site and fixed costs.
