## Summary

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has recently completed a procurement process titled "Review of Software Asset Management Compliance Approach". This project, classified under the CPV code for business and management consultancy services, was conducted in London, United Kingdom. The procurement method used was selective, with a call-off from a framework agreement, and the tender period ended on 21 January 2019. The contract was awarded on 1 February 2019, with a total value of £48,000, and is set to commence on 25 February 2019 and conclude on 31 March 2019.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for consultancy firms specialising in software asset management and compliance practices. Businesses well-suited to compete for such contracts are typically those with substantial experience in managing software assets, particularly in the context of regulatory environments. The support provided to product groups, especially DevOps teams, highlights the demand for companies that can demonstrate effective governance and reporting strategies within compliance frameworks.

## Notice

The FCA have a small core Software Asset Team (up to 5 members) who have been responsible for Software Asset Management since 2015. Following organisational changes, this team will in future be responsible for providing support to 'product groups' (DevOps teams) and governance/reporting of the FCA's compliance position with the product groups accountable for managing their respective assets. There has been significant work undertaken over the last 2 years by the core Asset Management team to understand and manage our compliance position across circa 785 software asset products including SaaS and cloud products using both automated and manual reporting. The FCA would like to understand best practice in this area both in terms of the work completed as well as the approach to managing compliance as we move forward.
