## Summary

Birmingham City Council is conducting a tender process titled "QU341 - Faith-based Communities support for Covid-19 Campaign," aimed at engaging faith-based organisations to deliver COVID-19 outreach and Test and Trace messaging across Birmingham. The procurement falls under the category of community services and is currently at the Tender stage, with submissions due by noon on 15th September 2020. The contract is anticipated to start on 4th October 2020 and may last until 30th April 2021, with a potential three-month extension should the COVID-19 situation necessitate it.

This tender presents an opportunity for growth particularly for businesses involved in community health services, social work, and public health messaging. Organisations that are well-suited to compete include those focused on faith-based outreach, multicultural community support, and public health initiatives, especially those experienced in working with diverse religious communities in Birmingham, such as Islamic, Sikh, and Hindu groups. Partnership consortiums are encouraged, making this an attractive opportunity for small and medium enterprises looking to expand their impact in the health and community services sector.

## Notice

Public Health Division is inviting organisations from faith-based organisations to apply for funding to provide COVID-19 and Test and Trace messages to the communities they support throughout Birmingham, either separately or as part of a partnership consortium/ consortia bid. Islam is the 2nd most popular faith in Birmingham next to Christian. This is closely followed by Sikh and Hindu. We are seeking tenders for the following faith-based communities: Lot A - Islam Lot B - Sikhism Lot C - Hinduism Lot D - African led churches and African Caribbean led churches Lot E - Interfaith small faith communities Tenders will require organisations to support citizens from these faiths and to be shared through interfaith organisations to ensure COVID-19 and Test and Trace messages are shared as widely as possible through trusted resources across all communities throughout Birmingham. It is anticipated that more than one provider will be required for this Lot. Partnership bids will also be welcome. Timeframe for delivery: The Public Health Division will discuss the exact timescales once tenders are evaluated. We anticipate that the programme will last no longer than 7 months, however, should COVID 19 outbreak remain a significant issue beyond the contract period, we reserve the right to extend the operations under this contract for further 3 months.
