## Summary

Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering Limited is seeking expressions of interest for subcontracting opportunities on the Lower Thames Crossing programme. The project involves the design, manufacture, and supply of Reinforced Soil Retaining Wall systems, classified under several CPV categories related to construction materials and engineering works. The procurement process is currently at the tender stage and follows an open procedure. Interested subcontractors must submit their eligibility criteria by 21st May 2026. The project is set in the East of England and South East regions of the United Kingdom, with a contract period commencing on 1st November 2026 and concluding on 1st May 2027. The total value of the procurement is £2,500,000 GBP.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses in the civil engineering and construction sectors, particularly those specialising in geotechnical structures and retaining wall solutions. Suitable companies should demonstrate exceptional performance in health, safety, and environmental standards, along with a commitment to sustainability and low-carbon objectives. As Balfour Beatty aims to create the UK's greenest road, businesses that can support zero-emissions solutions and contribute to local skills development will be highly competitive. The procurement is open to SMEs and VCSEs, providing excellent growth potential for smaller enterprises looking to expand their expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects.
