## Summary

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has initiated a tender process for the project titled "BBC Adaptive Learning RFI" in the educational software development services category. The procurement stage is in the planning phase, with an engagement end date set for 19th April 2024. The BBC aims to improve adaptive learning experiences for young learners and is seeking responses from organisations with AI-driven capabilities. The deadline for submission is 24th October, and interested parties must register on the Jaggaer e-Tendering portal to express their interest and submit responses.

This tender opportunity hosted by the BBC for adaptive learning solutions presents a chance for companies specialising in educational software development services to engage with a high-profile organisation. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) entities are encouraged to participate. The BBC's focus on personalised learning experiences for students creates a potential market for businesses capable of providing innovative and adaptive e-learning solutions. Responding to the RFI and engaging through the Jaggaer e-Tendering portal can open doors for business growth and collaboration with a renowned public service broadcaster.

## Notice

At BBC Bitesize, our mission is to help every child in the UK reach their full potential, learning every day in their own way. We aim to create a personal connection between learners and the BBC that endures throughout their school years, not just at exam time. We know students have a unique combination of learning needs and abilities that evolve as they get older. Our audiences tell us they would like more quizzes, more interactivity, more sense of progression and the ability to "practice" and get feedback as they learn. Bitesize needs to be able to better meet these needs on an individual basis through personalised, adaptive learning and revision experiences. Subsequently we are interested in hearing from organisations that have established capabilities, products or services which deliver AI-driven adaptive learning and revision experiences for young learners. Our goal is to learn how best to meet our product requirements from a technology perspective, as well as to validate use cases we believe could bring our audience value. Responding to this RFI is not a prerequisite for participation in a subsequent procurement, nor does it give any advantage in that procurement. The BBC would welcome responses to this RFI so that it can build an understanding of current capabilities, in what the BBC knows to be a quickly evolving marketplace. Additional information: Responses can be made by completing Part C (Form of Response) of this RFI, and submitting via the Jaggaer eTendering tool. Responses are invited for submission no later than Tuesday 24th October, at 5pm. Submissions should be made online in Jaggaer. Any queries should be made via Jaggaer using the in-system messaging tool. The deadline for queries is Thursday 19th October at 5pm, to allow for any response to be factored in before the deadline for submission.
