GAMRIF is part of the Global Health Security (GHS) Programme, within the International Directorate, at the Department of Health and Social Care. It is a PS50m ODA (Official Development Assistance) fund that supports early stage, innovative AMR research and development (R&D) for the benefit of people in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). GAMRIF is a 'One Health' fund that invests in product development research across human, animal and environmental health. The fund supports high-quality research from around the world that has the poten-tial to lead to tangible innovations that will help to prevent, detect and/or treat drug-resistant infections in resource-poor settings.
