## Summary

The Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is currently seeking tenders for a project titled "Infrastructure Works in Support of Modular Accommodation." This procurement, classified under construction work (CPV code 45000000), is focused on relocating various departments from the Norton Court building in Birmingham, which is set for demolition in 2020. Interested parties must submit their tenders by 12 December 2019, with the works required to be completed before the end of January 2020. The project will involve work in the existing Neo Natal unit, which must be conducted outside standard construction hours in coordination with the Trust.

This tender presents significant opportunities for construction firms, particularly those specialising in modular building solutions and related service provisions. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to apply, as the project specification suggests a suitability for these types of businesses. Companies capable of delivering the necessary infrastructural services to support modular construction will find this opportunity particularly relevant for growth within the healthcare construction sector.

## Notice

The Trust is currently engaged in a series of relocation works of the various departments from the existing Norton Court building to allow the same to be demolished in 2020. One of the projects which is currently out to tender is the provision of parents' accommodation and clinical genetics in a modular solution. In support of this modular provision is the need to provide the necessary services to the Modular building. This project is the provision of these services to a point to subsequently allow the successful company appointed to undertake the construction of the modular works to feed their building. The successful contractor for this project will be required to work alongside the Modular Contractor appointed to ensure that the required services will be available to allow the Modular building to deliver the required functional facilities. It is envisaged that the works in this project must be completed before the end of January 2020. Works are envisaged in the existing Neo Natal unit and the same will be required to be undertaken outside of the standard recognised construction working hours and at times to be agreed with the Trust.
