## Summary

The NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Expressions of Interest for the provision of Primary Care Extended Access for patients." This initiative aims to enhance access to GP services across Derbyshire, particularly for patients registered with local GPs. A critical deadline for engagement is set for 31st October 2018, and the procurement pertains to the health industry, specifically focusing on general practitioner services. This market engagement exercise, labelled as a tender of opportunity, is designed to gauge interest from qualified providers capable of meeting the extended access requirements set forth by the Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

This procurement process provides significant opportunities for both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) to participate in delivering essential healthcare services. Businesses specialising in primary care, healthcare staffing, and service provision in the East Midlands region are particularly well-suited to compete. The exercise encourages collaboration between potential providers, offering a chance to form partnerships that can enhance service delivery. Engaged businesses will be able to gain visibility into future contracting opportunities while contributing to the broader mission of improving patient access to healthcare in Derbyshire.

Support the Commissioners informed decision making on the potential options on the future commissioning of these services and; 3. To help refine the commissioning and procurement approach going forward (as required) This is a market testing exercise and does not commit the CCG to carry out a procurementprocess. Current services have been developed using a 'proof of concept' and will remain in place during this period in line with existing contracts and service level agreements. Additional information: Bidders who have expressed an interest in this market testing exercise will have the opportunity to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice as applicable. An engagement event may take place at a later date to offer the market an overview of any future intentions across Derbyshire in terms of any future opportunities and is designed to facilitate networking opportunities between all interested parties.
