## Summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking to award the Enforcement Services Contract through a further competition under the RMBC Enforcement & Debt Collection Services Framework. The procurement, classified under transport services, is located in the East of England and involves a contract period starting from 15 May 2019 to 14 May 2022, with an option for a one-year extension. The request for services is set to include two service providers, with a total estimated value of £240,000 for the three years, although future requirements cannot be ensured. All bids must have been submitted by 31 January 2019.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses, especially those in the enforcement and debt collection sectors, to engage in local government contracts and expand their service offerings. With the potential for substantial amounts linked to parking penalty recoveries, companies like enforcement agencies or those specialising in debt collection could find a suitable fit. Additionally, organisations that are socially responsible and capable of providing high-quality enforcement services will likely thrive in this competitive environment.

## Notice

This contract is for Cambridgeshire County Council only. Cambridgeshire County Council intends to maximise the collection of debts through the effective use of all available recovery options, to reduce the costs of collection and ensure a high quality Enforcement Agent service is provided. The authority will appoint two Service Providers for the provision of the services and no part or totality of the services is guaranteed to be offered to any one Service Provider. This Contract is for 3 years, with an option to extend for 1 year making it 4 years in total. The estimated current Parking Penalty Charges recoveries for the authority are 130k per annum. However, this cannot be guaranteed future requirements. 1.3.7. The number of number of recovery orders issued to Bailiffs over the last three years is contained in table below together with the main processing systems although providers are asked to note that the authority could change processing systems during the life of the contract as it shall be re-tendering their parking enforcement contracts.
