## Summary

The Heart Academies Trust has concluded a procurement process for the construction of a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) under the project titled "MUGA AGA." This project falls within the industry category of recreational, cultural, and sporting services and took place in the Yorkshire and the Humber region, United Kingdom. The procurement, which followed a selective method via call-off from a dynamic purchasing system, reached the award stage on 26th June 2025. The contracted work is scheduled to begin on 25th June 2025 and is expected to complete by 30th August 2028. The total contract value is noted at £147,964, with Dura-Sport Limited identified as the successful supplier.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses specialising in the installation of sports facilities, particularly those approved as installers by Playrite. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs), in particular, would find this contract accessible given its suitability for such business scales, promoting growth in the sector of recreational infrastructure. The project entails upgrading a current tarmac surface to a diverse recreational facility, fostering both economic and social benefits. This opportunity is well-suited for businesses eager to participate in public sector projects that drive community engagement through enhanced sports amenities.

## Notice

This Further Competition (FC) is being issued by Abbey Multi Academy Trust to procure the installation of a Multi Use Games Area via the DPS for the provision of goods and services to drive social impact and improvement. The Academy currently has a tarmac surface area used for tennis, football, etc (see Appendix H1. Existing Area). They would like to replace this surface with a Multi Use Games Area, and have selected to use the project "Playrite - Tournament MF" (see Appendix H3. Product Specification - Playrite Tournament MF). The contractor must be an approved installer registered with Playrite. The existing pitch is circa 72m x 36m, and so the project will see the pitch widen by 2 metres and add a new fence-line to the extended section. The installed pitch will be a minimum of 72m x 38m (see Appendix H2. Proposed Plan).
