The project will result in Falmouth Marine School owning a commercially available small vessel with a number of differing power installation options (diesel, electric, hybrid). In support of this project the college will develop a new classroom and workshop facility to support college learners to develop the skills required to move into a career within the marine electric/ electronic installation, operation, maintenance and diagnostics of the growing electrical and electronic systems within the marine sector in the support of de-carbonising vessels as a move to greater sustainability. Requirements: To supply a range of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electrical equipment as would be installed to a workboat, fast tender, support vessel, leisure vessel such that learners are able to undertake electrical and electronic installation, servicing and fault-finding tasks within a classroom environment.
