The service aims is to provide the Virtual School with 6 monthly packages of books, maths games and stationery that will be passed on to Bristol's Children in Care, ranging from ages 3 - 12. Supporting the children's reading, comprehension, and maths abilities, as well as ensuring that the children feel that they are cared for and recognised. Supporting children in having increased confidence in literacy and numeracy. The service will support children who have experienced difficulty and adversity by providing books which will support with relaxation. This service will support children in developing relationships with their carers.
