## Summary

Sheffield City Council has completed the procurement process for the "Sheffield Care & Wellbeing Service - Home Care" project, focusing on health and social work services. The service aims to provide care and support to people in their homes across Sheffield, improving their health, wellbeing, and independence. The tender, conducted under the Light Touch Regime (Regulation 76), was divided into 16 lots. With a contract period starting on 3rd June 2024 and ending on 2nd June 2031, the project has an estimated value of £682,500,000. This open procurement process included potential delivery to various regions including the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond.

The tender represents substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). The open procurement procedure ensures inclusive participation, encouraging a wide range of businesses to compete. The long-term nature of the contract and its division into multiple lots offer providers chances for sustained engagement and service delivery. Suppliers with expertise in health and social care, particularly those experienced in home care services, would be well-suited for this procurement. The awarded suppliers include several large-scale organisations, highlighting the significance and scale of the opportunity.
