This initiative aims to address the increasing number of rough sleepers across the regions of South Holland, North Kesteven, West Lindsey, and South Kesteven. The project, supported by an award from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) for the financial year 2020/21, seeks to secure accommodation units that can serve as emergency temporary housing. Interested parties are invited to submit their responses by 20th February 2020, outlining the accommodation types and associated pricing. This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in housing and accommodation services, particularly those that can provide suitable facilities for vulnerable populations. By responding to this tender, businesses can contribute to a crucial social initiative while potentially securing contracts that support robust growth in their operations. ## Notice The 2019 Rough Sleeper count identified 20 rough sleepers across South Holland, North Kesteven, West Lindsey and South Kesteven. This 'snapshot ' supports the Authorities' view that the rough sleeping cohort is up to 80 individuals , comprising new, entrenched and returning rough sleepers who are rough sleeping due to changing or challenging personal circumstances, inability to afford , access or sustain suitable accommodation. The figure is an increase on the previous year's count and the partnership faces significant challenges to successfully reduce and ultimately prevent rough sleeping going forward. With an award from MHCLG Rough Sleeping Initiative for 2020/21 the 4 District Councils (South Holland, North Kesteven, West Lindsey and South Kesteven) will work as a collective to achieve the following goals; * Increase prevention of those at risk of rough sleeping * Reduce the number of 'repeat' rough sleepers * Reduce the number of rough sleepers that are likely to become entrenched * Improve physical and mental health and wellbeing * Greater levels of effective support in settled accommodation In order to make this project a success we are looking for a partner organisation to provide accommodation units that we will be able to utilise as emergency temporary accommodation units on a referral basis. This accommodation can either be spread across the 4 Council areas mentioned or provided centrally in Grantham (South Kesteven District Council).
