The resultant vehicle (Framework Agreement) to be entered in is to provide care at home and transport assistance for Vulnerable Children and Young People aged between 10 and 17 years who have disabilities and whom the Authority has responsibility to support. The Services will include short breaks for disabled children, Section 17 provision (Children in Need) and transport assistance for disabled looked after children (please refer to the Specifications for further information). The duration of the Framework Agreement will be for an initial three (3) year] with the option to extend up to a further one (1) year, subject to contractor's performance and at the full discretion of the Authority, and subject to a lawful termination in accordance with the provisions of the Terms and Conditions of the Framework Agreement (please refer to Schedule 10). The requirements are divided into three distinct Lots under the proposed procurement. At its absolute discretion, the Authority intend to appoint up to a maximum number of organisations under each Lot, as described below: Lot 1 - Care at home for disabled children, up to a maximum of 6 suppliers. Lot 2 - Care at home for mainstream services, up to a maximum of 3 suppliers. Lot 3 - Transport assistance for mainstream services, up to a maximum of 2 suppliers. Note, the maximum numbers have been provided to ensure Bidders are aware of the award restrictions under each Lot.
