It is anticipated that the contract shall run from 1 October 2017 until 30 September 2020 with an option to extend up to a further two years. The anticipated contract value is PS1.38m over 3 year contract and PS923k for the additional two years (excluding QOF and Enhanced Services). The practice is open 5 days a week from 8am until 6.30pm, with extended opening offered in accordance with patient needs. The practice has 5,600 registered patients and it is anticipated that this will grow at a steady rate. The practice is located within a NHS Property Services building which was a former community hospital building. The services must be provided and led by GPs and supported by an appropriate skill-mix. The Kirkby Community Primary Care Centre was, in November 2015, rated 'Inadequate' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The practice is currently being run under a caretaking arrangement with an on-going commitment to quality improvement Additional information: Arden & GEM CSU is managing this Procurement in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 the Regulations).
