## Summary

The Oxford City Council has awarded a contract for the framework titled "Framework for HIA Ramps, Level Access Showers/Wetrooms and Associated Bathroom Works" in the Bathrooms construction work industry category. The procurement process was completed through an open procedure (below threshold). The contract value is £450,000, with a contract period starting on May 1, 2023, and ending on April 30, 2025. The tender period ended on January 16, 2023, and the delivery address is in OX1 1BX, England. The contracting authority is the Oxford City Council.

This tender presents an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to participate. Businesses involved in construction work related to bathrooms, specifically the installation of HIA ramps, level access showers/wetrooms, and associated bathroom works, would be well-suited to apply. The framework allows for mini competitions to be run by the Council. Companies interested in providing these essential housing adaptations to help disabled individuals stay in their own homes should consider engaging with Oxford City Council's Home Improvement Agency (HIA) framework.

## Notice

Oxford City Home Improvement Agency (HIA) is dedicated to helping older, disabled and vulnerable residents within Oxford City to live safely and independently in their own home. The agency service is available to people who are vulnerable and need help repairing, maintaining or adapting their home. The Regulatory Reform (Housing Assistance) (England and Wales) Order 2002 policy is delivered by the Council through an in-house Home Improvement Agency (HIA) who are contracted by the Oxfordshire County Council and Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group to deliver additional services that enable people to remain in their home. The Council is duty bound to approve and pay complete applications made under the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 for mandatory Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG). A DFG is a means tested grant with a maximum limit of PS30,000 for essential housing adaptations to help disabled people stay in their own homes. This framework has been put in place for the Council to use to run mini competitions.
