## Summary

The St Helens Council is initiating a procurement process for the "St Helens Council Schools ICT Support Contract," aimed at providing managed ICT support for primary, secondary, and special schools within the borough. The contract, which is valued at £5,500,000, will cover over 20,000 connected devices and approximately 3,000 staff. Currently in the planning stage, the key milestone includes an engagement end date of 5th July 2018. Interested suppliers are encouraged to participate in the engagement process, detailed in the market engagement notice published on 15th May 2018.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the ICT and consultancy sectors, particularly those specialising in education technology and managed services. Companies with expertise in providing comprehensive support for educational institutions, including hardware maintenance, software updates, and training, would be particularly well-suited to compete. The contract also allows firms to build strong relationships with schools, potentially leading to long-term partnerships and additional service contracts in the education sector.
