## Summary

The London Borough of Bromley Council is planning to initiate a tender for "Children's Residential Block Bed Placements - 13 to 17 years of Age" to provide secure block bed placements, including emergency arrangements for children in this age group. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with an engagement end date set for 23rd February 2018. The services are categorised under health and social work, and the delivery will mainly take place in London and the South East of the United Kingdom. The council may announce a formal procurement process in June 2017, which is anticipated to be conducted possibly through a Competitive Dialogue approach, though the planning phase is ongoing and does not yet signify a firm commitment to proceed.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in care services for young people, particularly those with expertise in high control behavioural management models. Companies that can demonstrate capability in working collaboratively with community partners and adhering to quality standards set out in children's care legislation will be well-suited to compete. Firms focused on delivering effective support to looked-after children, while ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards and rigorous training, are especially encouraged to engage in this upcoming procurement process.
