## Summary

The Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (IESCCG) is currently in the planning stage for a tender titled "Provision of Community Gastroenterological Services". This procurement aims to engage a community partner to aid in the transformation of Gastroenterology Services, with a contract value estimated at £10 million over a potential five-year term. The tender is focused on the healthcare industry and is located in the East of England. Key dates include the engagement end date, which is scheduled for 23rd February 2018, and expressions of interest must be submitted by 12:00 on 23rd December 2016.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses with expertise in providing gastroenterological services, especially those capable of delivering a high volume of diagnostic tests, including endoscopies. Companies that can demonstrate JAG accreditation and have experience in setting up CQC accredited premises will be well-suited to compete. The collaborative nature of the contract, requiring partners to work within an alliance, offers a unique chance for firms looking to contribute to innovative healthcare delivery while ensuring sustainability and quality in service provision.

## Notice

The Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (IESCCG) and The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust (IHT) are exploring the opportunity to secure a community partner to help deliver transformation of Gastroenterology Services. The successful Partner will be working as part of an alliance with IES CCG and IHT to co-produce and deliver transformation over 5 years. This could include provision of a Single Point of Access, triage, outcome based measurement, diagnostics and community outpatient clinics. The annual Gastroenterology budget is circa 23 000 000 GBP with the contract value for this opportunity to be in the region of 10 000 000 GBP. This is an estimation due to the potential for change over the lifetime of the contract, and due to the activity based payment mechanism of the contract. Providers interested in delivering the gastroenterological community elements would need to demonstrate they have proven capability to: - Deliver at scale diagnostic tests and services including a minimum of 5 000 endoscopies per year and be able to flex up to 10 000 per year to accommodate predicted growth. - Achieve Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation at existing sites and commit to securing JAG accreditation at the earliest opportunity. - Secure CQC accredited premises outside of the acute premises. Set up costs to be met by the provider and recovered through volume based payments over the life of the contract. -Work cooperatively within an alliance to deliver transformation whilst maintaining quality, reducing costs and ensuring sustainability. - Operate and maintain gastroenterological community services such as first and follow up clinics. - Implement referral management and triage services. - Secure and maintain an appropriately trained and competent workforce. IES CCG and IHT are looking to establish whether the incumbent provider is the most capable of delivering the requirement. To establish whether the incumbent is uniquely placed to deliver this requirement IES CCG and IHT are looking to establish whether there are alternative providers who could also satisfy the requirements at II.2.4) If you believe that your organisation has the ability to deliver the requirements please express an interest by contacting jane.garnett@suffolk.nhs.uk This PIN is not commencing a procurement process, any future procurement activity in relation to the services that are the subject of this PIN may be the subject of a separate notice. The CCGs and IHT are not liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in this process. To express an interest email the named contact in this advert by 12:00 23.12.2016.
