This poses challenges to traditional system operation and new technology integration such as: The 2023/2024 Qualification Trial Process will facilitate the real-time trials of both new and existing technologies for relevant System Service provision on the Ireland and Northern Ireland power system. This will help to identify and to resolve any issues associated with operational protocols, technology capability and communication challenges. More generally, the trials will also consider the challenges associated with the large-scale roll-out of these new technologies..
