## Summary

The procurement process concerns the "Go Ultra Low City Schemes (GULCS) - Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Framework," initiated by Transport for London (TfL) to establish a framework for concessionaires and service providers to manage electric vehicle charging points across Greater London. The framework covers the installation, maintenance, and operation of charging points with less than 22kw power output, divided into two lots: Shared and Dedicated Power Supply. This procurement is currently in the Award stage, having been accepted in July 2018 with a total contract value of £15 million, and the contract is scheduled to commence on 31st October 2018 with a maximum duration of four years, including a potential one-year extension. The tender period concluded on 11th April 2018.

This opportunity presents significant growth potential for businesses in the electric vehicle sector, particularly those involved in the provisioning of charging infrastructure and related services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary and community sector enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to engage with this framework, as up to six providers for Shared Power Supply and four for Dedicated Power Supply will be selected. Companies with experience in service concessions, installation, and maintenance of electric charging systems will be well-positioned to compete for these contracts.

## Notice

TfL is undertaking a procurement on behalf of itself and other awarding authorities to set up a framework of concessionaires and service providers that may supply, install, maintain, operate and provide associated services relating to charge points (CP) for electric vehicles within Greater London. The framework is for CPs with a power output capacity of less than 22kw and shall encompass two lots: 1. Shared Power Supply CPs - This type of CP allows the electric vehicle driver to charge their vehicle from a CP which draws its electricity supply from another existing asset, such as a lighting column. TfL is seeking to appoint up to six (6) Providers to the framework who have the capability to supply, install, operate and maintain Shared Electric Charge Points (of less than 22 KW) at sites within Greater London; and 2. Dedicated Power Supply CPs - These are electric vehicle charging units that draw electricity from a feeder pillar. TfL is seeking to appoint up to four (4) Providers to a framework who have the capability to supply, install, operate and maintain free standing Charge Points (of less than 22 KW) at sites within Greater London. The framework agreement will be for a total duration of up to four (4) years with an initial period of three (3) years and the option to extend by up to a further year.
