## Summary

The North of England Commissioning Support (NECS), acting on behalf of NHS Tees Valley Clinical Commissioning Group, is conducting a procurement process for the Darlington Integrated MSK Service (NECS351). The contract will last for an initial two-year period starting from 1 April 2022, with the potential for a one-year extension based on performance. This procurement follows the Open procedure as specified in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, applicable to health care services under the Light Touch Regime. The tender submission deadline was set for 12:00 noon on 15 October 2021, with a total contract value of approximately £3,120,428, aimed at enhancing health and social work services in Darlington, located in the North East of England.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) involved in healthcare delivery, particularly those focusing on musculoskeletal (MSK) services. Businesses which have experience in integrated health services and understand the socio-economic implications of public health contracts would be well-suited to compete. The emphasis on social value in the procurement process suggests that bidders who can demonstrate a commitment to improving local well-being may have an advantage in securing this contract.
