## Summary

Cornwall Council is initiating a tender for the "Provision of therapeutic resources for schools in Cornwall," aiming to procure resources that support the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people in educational settings. This procurement, currently in the planning stage, has a total budget of up to £100,000. The engagement period for potential suppliers will end on 19th February 2021. The resources will be distributed across three areas in Cornwall—West, Mid, and East—and the deadline for interested parties to provide information is set for midday on the same date.

This opportunity will cater to suppliers capable of sourcing, storing, and distributing various therapeutic resources suitable for primary, secondary, and special schools. Businesses in the education and health sectors, particularly those with expertise in mental health support or educational supplies, should consider participating. This tender represents a chance to engage in a significant contract that can enhance service delivery in local schools, thus potentially expanding their operational portfolio and client base in the region.

## Notice

Introduction Cornwall Council would like to commission a provider that can purchase, store and distribute a range of resources that will support the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people in schools. The resources will support the work of Trauma-Informed Schools Practitioners, Mental Health Support Teams, SENCO's and others who work with children on a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups. The provider will provide a durable 60 litre plastic container with a lid; order goods as directed by the Council, and from multiple suppliers; store and assemble these as requested and distribute to 3 areas in Cornwall - West, Mid and East on an agreed date in April. The number of units is 300. The boxes will have approximately 70 percent of generic items and the remaining percentage will be bespoke for primary, secondary and special schools. The provider will ensure BS standards are met and ensure the contents are of high quality and suitable for primary, secondary and special schools. The resources will include support for professionals e.g. A Therapeutic Treasure Box by Dr K Treisman; games and cards to support resilience - Talking Tower (self-esteem version) and emotion cards; sensory items - e.g. light up lamps as well as a range of hand and finger puppets.
