Both complaints and FOI's/EIR's have similar processes in that they are date driven and need to be monitored for trends to help identify improvements. There is an opportunity to source a database which will assist in reducing duplication of work, ease the burden of reports and manual calculations for checking response times to both complaints and FOI's/EIR's storing all the information in one central system. The new database will also be used for requests made under the DPA and to record MP letters. It is intended that the system will be purchased in the first instance and an ongoing license/maintenance fee will apply after the first year.
