## Summary

Worcestershire County Council led a procurement process for the Fourth Midlands Connect EV Infrastructure Consortium aiming to enhance the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Scheme (LEVI) through a concession agreement. The procurement, classified under the "Energy and related services" category, involved multiple regional councils, namely Leicestershire, Rutland, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire County Councils, focusing on installing on-street electric vehicle charge points across the consortium. The tender, which employed an open procurement method, had its contract award stage completed by 18th June 2026, following the tender period that concluded on 30th April 2025. The project falls under a 15-year contract period starting 7th May 2026 and is valued at £3,151,000.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in the energy and infrastructure sectors, particularly those capable of providing electric vehicle charging solutions. Large-scale suppliers, already familiar with handling complex and technical infrastructure projects, are best positioned to benefit from similar future tenders. Companies equipped to deliver comprehensive EV infrastructure services and capable of supporting diverse site requirements across urban to rural areas will likely find growth opportunities in consortium-based government contracts like this. With successful bids from Connected Kerb Ltd and EZO Charging Ltd for varying charge point capacities, this procurement further establishes the demand for specialised and robust energy services in the UK.
