The Provision of Removal and Associated Services The Council has a regular requirement for residential moves and office relocations within the Borough of Sandwell that also includes a packing and unpacking service and the requirement for furniture and belongings to be taken into storage as and when required. Residential Removals are categorised into the following types: Tenant Incentive Scheme (TIS) Deaths involving the Treasury Evictions or abandoned properties Decants Emergency Moves Term of Contract The Contract duration is for three (3) years, commencing 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2024. Value of Contract Based on previous data, the estimated annual cost is to be in the region of PS60,000. This value is based on historical spend data and is intended to be used as a guide only and is not a guarantee of the level of business that will be generated from the contract. Expenditure over the last 12-month period is broken down as follows: Residential Moves 46% Office Relocations 14% Crate Hire 12% Storage 25% Porter Service 3% This breakdown is based on the last 12-month period and is to be used as a guide only and is not a guarantee that future service requirements will be the same. Appointment of Service Provider To appoint a single provider for the provision of Removal Services. Accreditation Tenderers must be a Member of the British Association of Removers or Equivalent European Standard. A copy of your certification will need to be submitted with your Tender.
