## Summary

The procurement process involves NHS Supply Chain seeking to establish a multi-supplier framework for patient-specific powered and non-powered wheelchairs, specialist seating, and associated repairs, with a contract value of £60 million. This tender, titled "T5R12 Powered and Non-Powered Wheelchairs, Specialist Seating and Associated Repairs", falls within the health care industry and is located in Sheffield, England. The procurement method is an open procedure, and the contract period is set from 10 January 2022 to 9 January 2026. The tender initiated on 25 October 2021 and concluded on 4 May 2021, allowing participating authorities the flexibility to procure on an ad hoc basis or through structured bulk purchases.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the medical supply sector, particularly those that manufacture, supply, or maintain wheelchairs and related devices. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary and community sector organisations are encouraged to compete, as the framework is designed to incorporate a wide range of suppliers and products. With various lots covering different types of wheelchairs and adaptive seating systems, companies specialising in the healthcare equipment supply chain can leverage this opportunity for growth and enhanced market presence across the UK public sector.
