## Summary

The tender, titled "UKSBS PR17130 - Particle Fallout Photometer and Host Software," is issued by UK Shared Business Services Ltd, a notable organisation based at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Harwell, Oxfordshire. The procurement, classified under electrical machinery and laboratory equipment, is at the tender stage and will close for bidding at 14:00 BST on 2 November 2017. The contract will commence on 28 November 2017 and conclude on 16 March 2018, with a total estimated value of £49,750 and a minimum value of £40,000. This open procurement procedure invites a wide range of suppliers to present their bids to fulfil the requirements for a high bandwidth real-time oscilloscope intended for satellite test facilities.

This opportunity represents significant potential for SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) involved in the supply of scientific and laboratory equipment, especially those with expertise in electrical machinery. Businesses that specialise in advanced measurement technologies, as well as those with experience in procurement for scientific purposes, would be particularly well-placed to compete. With the emphasis on modernising and enhancing public sector services, winning this contract could enhance reputations, foster new collaborations, and open doors for future contracts within government and public sector research initiatives.
