The new heating and hot water provision shall be separate for each facility (Fews Lodge and Kallar Lodge) and shall be located within the existing plant room. By-pass pipework shall be included within the new design to enable heating provision to either facility in the event of boiler failure. The by-pass will be isolated during normal operation of the plant. The contractor is to include for separation of the existing heating and hot water distribution pipework to physically separate the provision for each facility. Each of the new boiler plant and equipment shall be capable of providing heating and hot water services to all existing areas of the building.
