Care tasks are excluded from this service (e.g. personal care, domestic tasks, childcare, specialist counselling). This service is not aimed specifically at older people (there is a separate Older Peoples Visiting Support Service in Cambridgeshire). The contract is for an initial period of three (3) years, with an optional extension of one (1) year. Commissioners view that floating support delivers good value for money and the direction of travel with regard to housing related support is that this model of support is its preferred option.
