## Summary

The South Somerset District Council is seeking suppliers for the "Supply and maintenance of Footfall Counters in Yeovil" as part of their Yeovil Refresh initiative aimed at revitalising the town centre. This procurement is active and follows an open procedure, with a total contract value of £60,000. The eligibility period for submissions closes on 1st July 2020, while the contract itself is scheduled to commence on 31st August 2020 and will run until 31st July 2025. The project focuses on installing up to five footfall counters in key areas of Yeovil to facilitate ongoing monitoring of foot traffic as part of the town's regeneration efforts.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in data collection and analysis, particularly those that can demonstrate capabilities in providing technology for footfall measurement and related maintenance services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to apply, having the potential to not only fulfil the requirements for installation and data collection but also offer analytical tools and ongoing support throughout the contract period. Competitors should be prepared to engage in hardware installation as well as software development for data interpretation, indicating a diverse range of companies could benefit from this opportunity to support local government initiatives.
