The scheme extends between Portmore Roundabout (outskirts of Barnstaple) and Filleigh Cutting (approximately 3 miles north of South Molton), also incorporating Hacche Lane and Borner's Bridge junctions (UK Ordnance Survey grid ref 259013,131859) The road currently carries 2 lanes of traffic with T-junctions at Landkey and Hacche Lane and staggered crossroads at West Buckland and Borner's Bridge. A number of structures are also included within the site. The scheme comprises widening of pavement and structures to include sections of 2+1 carriageway, junction improvements at Landkey, West Buckland, Hacche Lane and Borner's Bridge. Areas where no widening is proposed will include upgrades to the existing pavement and VRS. A comprehensive list of the structures within the site is included in the Contract Documentation.
