## Summary

The procurement process for the "Eastern Highways Framework 2" has been completed, led by LGSS on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council and the Eastern Highways Alliance. This framework, with a total value of £750 million, pertains to construction work within the highway sector in the East of England, covering various projects such as structural work, surfacing, and infrastructure improvements. The contract period commenced on 1 April 2016 and concluded on 31 March 2020, following a selective procurement method under a restricted procedure.

This framework presents significant business opportunities, particularly for large construction firms engaged in civil engineering and road maintenance. Companies with capabilities in structural works, highway improvements, and public realm enhancements are well-positioned to compete for future packages within this alliance. The framework’s division into two lots, targeting projects of varying financial scopes, allows for a range of suppliers to participate and benefit from ongoing infrastructure developments across multiple local authorities in the region.
