## Summary

The procurement process involves the appointment of a provider for a Digital Interview Recording solution (DIR Solution) by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Suffolk, which is leading the initiative on behalf of both Suffolk and Norfolk Police. The tender is open for bids until 13th November 2019, with the contract expected to begin on 6th January 2020 and run until 5th January 2025. This opportunity falls under the services category, specifically focused on sound and video recording apparatus, and it is located in the East of England within the United Kingdom. The estimated total contract value is £250,000 for a five-year period.

This tender presents a significant growth opportunity for businesses specialising in audio and video recording solutions, alongside repair and maintenance services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the technology and audio-visual sectors, particularly those capable of providing interoperable systems and easily available hardware, would be particularly well-suited to compete. The need for modern and expandable recording systems within police operations indicates a potential for innovative solutions that can enhance service delivery and meet specific operational requirements.

## Notice

This procurement exercise is seeking to appoint a provider of a Digital Interview Recording solution (the "DIR Solution"). The DIR Solution shall include the hardware and the supporting services for the relevant police stations. The solution should not be bespoke and should be capable of supplementing with easily available hardware and devices. The DIR Solution is procured by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Suffolk on behalf of itself and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk (together, the "Participating Authorities"). The DIR Solution shall be available to both Participating Authorities. The Police and Crime Commissioner for Suffolk is the lead contracting authority and will be the signatory to any contract awarded at the conclusion of this procurement process. The approximate total value of the DIR Solution for the maximum period of 5 years across for both Participating Authorities is PS250,000. The purpose of the DIR Solution is to deliver an interview solution that allows for future expansion and makes use of interoperability with current systems where processes benefit. The specific scope of this project is detailed in the Specification (contained in Volume 2 of the tender pack).
