The project will restore the lost gardens of Walmer Castle. As well as restoring and re-presenting historical landscaping, the project will improve access to the entire western half of the garden, creating a hub of community activity with learning and volunteer opportunities for diverse audiences. The aim is to part fund the project through the HLF. The Works include: the Gardener's Compound, provision of education and volunteering facilities, development of a new satellite catering facility and the installation of a play trail through the Woodland and Glen.
