## Summary

The University of Durham is seeking an Online Programme Management (OPM) partner to develop online non-credit bearing courses for external learners. The procurement involves the creation of fully online postgraduate programmes under a framework agreement for the development of 5-10 large-scale programmes over the next 5 years. The tender period ends on 24th May 2024, with a contract duration from 5th August 2024 to 4th August 2029. The procurement method is an open procedure, with a total value of £50,000. The University, based in Durham, in the North East region of the United Kingdom, is looking for partners to enhance its online educational offerings in the Education and Training Services category.

This tender opportunity with Durham University presents a chance for businesses with expertise in marketing, digital design, and online course development to establish a long-term partnership. Suitable businesses should be prepared for significant investment and collaboration with the University over the potential 5-year contract period, with a possible 2-year extension. The University emphasises the strategic benefits, additional income streams, and enhanced global profile that could result from successful collaboration. Interested parties can access the full tender documents online and address any queries to Steven Carter, the University contact.

## Notice

The University of Durham has a requirement to engage an Online Programme Management (OPM) partner to provide marketing, digital design and development of online non-credit bearing courses for external learners. Durham University seeks to expand its offering of high-quality online master's programmes, beyond the provision already supported in Durham University Business School (DUBS) and Arts and Humanities. In addition, Durham University has identified a desire to develop online CPD, executive education, and outreach courses that showcase Durham's strengths and contribute to local, national, and global knowledge and skills development. These initiatives have the potential to provide the University with additional income streams and raise the profile of Durham University both locally and globally in addition to other strategic benefits. The tender specification outline is focused on supporting the development of fully online postgraduate programmes. Durham University seeks a framework agreement which positions the chosen supplier as the preferred supplier for the development of 5-10 large scale postgraduate programmes over the next 5 years. It is envisioned that a framework agreement would be required, with the option to undertake variable approaches to course development from full service to single services depending upon the needs of each individual programme and our resource needs. As such, each programme would be considered an addendum to a master services agreement, and subject to negotiated terms of development and delivery. The chosen partner will work closely with colleagues in the Durham Centre for Academic Development (DCAD). You can only view the tender requirements until this time. The University is intending to let this contract for a potential 5 years, with an optional 2 year extension although this can be discussed at the Negotiation phase of this procurement. This is a long term partnership arrangement which will require significant investment from the University and the Partner so a longer contract is required.
