## Summary

The London Borough of Newham is initiating the planning stage for a procurement titled "Summer Reading Scheme" within the library services industry category. This scheme is targeted for implementation across 10 libraries in Newham, London (E16 2QU). The key date to note is the engagement end date on 17th December 2024, by which interested providers should confirm their participation. The full delivery of materials is expected by early May 2025. The scheme aims to encourage around 40,000 children to read from June to September annually, with resources for both regular and younger participants.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses with experience in running large-scale reading schemes and marketing campaigns. Ideal candidates include suppliers with over five years of relevant experience, particularly those skilled in creating marketing materials and managing multimedia campaigns across television, radio, and social media. SMEs are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the specified requirements, including the creation of bilingual resources and the ability to evaluate the scheme's impact. Interested parties should contact Caroline Rae by 17th December 2024 to confirm their capability to deliver all aspects of the scheme.
