## Summary

The Thames Valley Police is currently seeking tenders for the provision of Custodial Services, covering 24-hour outsourced services within its jurisdiction. The tender, with the title "Provision of Custodial Services," is classified under the industry category of custody services and is set to close on 22 June 2018. This contract, estimated to be valued between £14 million and £18 million, includes the management of Detention Officers ensuring the care and secure detention of individuals in custody as per various legal standards. The procurement method being used is a selective process, and the planned contract duration will start on 1 April 2019 and run until 31 March 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses that specialise in custody services, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that possess relevant experience in managing custodial or detention facilities. As a sole supplier is anticipated to be awarded the contract, it is critical for potential bidders to demonstrate quality service and compliance with regulatory requirements, as the evaluation criteria favour quality (60%) over cost (40%). This renewal contract could be advantageous for businesses currently engaged in similar operations, as it may involve the transfer of established staff under TUPE arrangements.

## Notice
