The contract commenced on 1 April 2018, and is set to run for a period of two years until 31 March 2021, with an option for a one-year extension if necessary. The award notice for this contract was published on 29 June 2018, with the total contract value amounting to £3,979,506. The procurement method utilised is a direct award.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in integrated healthcare services. Companies that are well-suited to compete would likely include those with experience in providing coordinated primary care services, particularly those equipped to manage patient access and service delivery in alignment with the local CCG's objectives. The establishment of a more efficient singular contractual arrangement may also present growth opportunities for SMEs with innovative solutions aimed at maximising resource sharing and improving patient care outcomes.

## Notice

.An interim contract is being directly awarded to an existing provider to ensure continuity of the provision and coordination of Primary Care services for patients registered with Merton CCG GP practices whilst the model of local provision continues to be reviewed and developed during the term of this contract. This interim contract effectively establishes a more efficient and effective singular contractual arrangement, to replace a number of existing smaller contracts for the provision of Extended Access Primary Care Service, Integrated Locality Team Coordination Service, Primary Care at Scale Service and the Quality Service contract. The contract term will run for 2 years with an option to extend this for up to 1 further year should the need arise. The singular contractual arrangement will enable improved inter-connectedness with flexibility in its function; staff and resources will be more easily shared across the individual services, which will also support improved integrated working and value for money. Additional information: The interim contract is being awarded to the local GP Federation as being in the unique position of having the support of the local Primary Care Practices, including critically, authorise access to GP owned patient lists and associated patient records. This provider is considered the only provider therefore with the ability to provide a fully integrated solution to deliver the CCG's intentions to deliver equitable patient access and efficient management of local Primary Care services - including delivering the requirements set out in the London Strategic Commissioning Framework, target the 10 high impact actions, reduce health and social care inequalities and deliver 'Primary Care at Scale'.
