## Summary

Wigan Council is currently in the award stage of a public procurement process titled "Family Safeguarding Model" under the health services category. The project, valued at £245,895, aims to integrate multi-disciplinary support for children and families by working with Social Workers, Children and Family Practitioners, and specialist adult workers to address issues such as domestic abuse, substance misuse, and mental health. The project is based in Wigan, with service delivery starting on 6th April 2025 and continuing until 5th March 2028. A direct single tender action was used for procuring services below the threshold, reflecting a targeted and streamlined approach. Key deadlines include the end of the tender period on 21st February 2025 and contract award on 27th February 2025.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in mental health services and integrated family support. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating within the health services sector would find this opportunity particularly advantageous given the project's scope and focus on mental health screening, needs assessment, and multidisciplinary intervention. Firms capable of providing commissioned mental health services and supporting holistic family safeguarding initiatives would be well-suited to compete and contribute to meaningful community outcomes by helping Wigan Council achieve its goal of keeping children safe at home while fostering positive change within families.

## Notice
