## Summary

The Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit is currently in the planning stage for a public procurement process titled "Special Allocation Scheme (SAS) Services in Essex (Market Engagement)". This procurement is classified under medical practice services and is set to take place in the East of England, specifically in Essex. Key deadlines include the engagement end date on 23rd February 2018, with the services required to be fully operational by the commencement date of 1st October 2017. The tender will be officially published in Early to Mid April 2017, with interested parties required to respond when advertised.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses that can provide medical services, especially those experienced in working with patients exhibiting challenging behaviours. Companies capable of offering secure, rehabilitative medical services and those with knowledge of the NHS procurement process would be well-suited to compete for the contracts. The procurement includes five separate contracts for different geographical areas within Essex, allowing a range of providers to engage based on their capabilities and locations.
